Welcome to week 14. At my last ultrasound the due date was pushed back to Feb 24th. (I know it is more like a due week or due time than a due date) We may have a March baby on our hands, watch out Nick and Brendan.

The fetus weighs in at 1 ounce (28 g), and measures almost 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm) in length. Generally during this week, the fetus may start growing hair on the head and other places such as the eyebrows. If it is a girl, her ovaries already have eggs inside. For boys, this is when the prostate gland develops.

Do you feel like there are butterflies in your tummy? It may feel like butterflies, or it may feel like gas. Some mothers may feel fetal movement ( quickening ), though others may not be able to identify movement until around week 20. I will keep you all posted on this one.
