I am hooked! Becky and I ran a 5K on Thanksgiving for fun and we went for out PR.
We smoked it!!! I came in 5th place for my age group and gender. I averaged 8 minutes and 1 second per mile. I didn't know I could run that fast.
Now I want to improve my speed!!!!!

Back in action.
My new (to me) treadmill broke about 6-8 weeks ago. It took a while to determine what was wrong and how to fix it. Then parts had to be ordered and wax needed to be found. Then we had to have time to make the repairs (well Shane had to find the time I just watched and kept Sam out of the way). After the deck was replaced I had to fix the belt. After all of that I got to run on my treadmill Monday night. I missed it so much. Don't get me wrong I love Billy Blanks and Tae Boe, I just love running more.

Ever since I started running again I have been running faster. So, I decided a while ago I wanted to set my PR (personal record) for a half Marathon (13.1 miles). I tried last April at the Go St. Louis 1/2 but their were too many people (walkers) and I couldn't run as fast as I wanted. I tried again in September but the race was the same time as Ike hit and they had to close the race down due to flooding. The third time is the charm. Becky and I ran last Sunday in Clayton. I was worried about the cold morning and the hills in Clayton. But, the weather was warm and beautiful and we killed those hills.

What a weekend. Shane, Sam and I drove down to Springfield to see Elaine for her birthday. We had a great time, until Sam woke up at 1 am Sunday morning and would not fall back asleep. If we would of been at home we would of let her cry it out but neither of us wanted to wake up Elaine or Randy. So, we let her lay in our bed. She couldn't of been more awake. She was playing and laughing. If we wouldn't of been so tired we would of laughed our selves. By 3 am we called it and pack up and left for STL. It wasn't that bad of a drive. I was sleepy but neither of us slept. I was mostly scared of hitting a deer with our car. We saw over a dozen dead deers or blood from something big.
But, we still had a great time with Randy, Elaine, Pepper and Bailey. We took Sam to Bass Pro and she loved it. Live ducks inside a store, who wouldn't.

I love Halloween this year. Sam is so excited and that makes me excited.

I think that the holidays are going to be wonderful this year.

Why do people stand so close to you at the check out lane?
I was trying to check out at Wally world yesterday and I had Sam with me and she was a little crabby (she was hungry) and this women got behind me and pushed her cart right up to me. I was trying to pay and my debit card was not working (I found out today that is was still blocked from Shane's missing debit cards). Her cart was all up in my business and it was driving me crazy. After the cashier handed me my receipt this women was trying to use the debit machine that I was still standing by. And please forgive me because I like to put my receipt in my wallet and then put my wallet away. You think her hair was on fire and she was trying to buy an extinguisher.
